Bukit Mertajam- Recreation turns dangerous as the paths to the peak of Bukit Mertajam hill turns muddy and dangerous for its users. Cherok Tokun which is known to be the people's favourate hiking spot is now creates fear as the road turns muddy and not being able to use. At some points, tarred roads are cracked up and trees collapses every time there is a heavy rain.
A concerned citizen reported this incident to SPT News after noticing this to happen for some time for the past few months. As a former sportsmen, he is a routine visitor of the hill in the evening almost everyday. SPT News shares the concerns of the mentioned person to the people of Seberang Perai Tengah.
We will request the relevant authority and the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC) to look into this issue. All of us have a collective responsibility on the preservation of our enviroment and at the same time care for each other's safety. Let's all work together to find a solution to this issue.
